We've been learning about the butterfly life cycle here lately. This morning, we painted butterflies and I did a little drawing and filled in the opposite side of the butterfly symmetry sheet in the unit I just finished. This was so fun!
I created a butterfly life cycle unit to use with my girls and I wanted to share with you a few pieces as a free download!
I set these papers and book out this afternoon to catch attention during free time. There's a natural curiosity about butterflies and so I made an observation sheet for my first grader to illustrate any she sees in her own yard and a sheet for her to illustrate the types of butterflies that are native to our area. (They happen to be in the back of the book there!) We've actually read the book several times over the last few days. Even my preschooler likes it. Looks like we might have to plan a trip to the local butterfly garden soon! Keep reading for my free download...
