We've been studying the butterfly life cycle out of curiosity and because it's spring here in the south. I made these cute little puppets with my preschooler today. They're super easy to make and I'm giving you the pieces as a free download!
Preschoolers like to have hands on things to touch and play with. I'm trying to think more on what she would like to do and so making puppets was just the ticket. All you need are the print-outs, cardstock, paper, glue and some straws or popsicle sticks.
1. Print out the puppets:
*option 1- on card stock if you have it. (I was out).
*option 2- If you want your preschooler to have some gluing practice, add the extra step of printing on regular paper, then gluing to cardstock.
2. Cut out the puppets closely.
3. Laminate if you want.
4. Attach to straws or popsicle sticks with tape.

Butterfly Life Cycle Pencil Toppers
So, as it turned out, what one wants the other does as well, right? I actually ended up preparing two sets of these. For my first grader, these became pencil toppers! As you may can tell, I let her do the cutting and gluing and cutting again around the cardstock. And so we had a quick little handicraft just like that! Just apply with tape around the pencil and let them enjoy their decoration. Thanks so much for stopping in! You can snag your puppets or pencil toppers here! Please come again soon!
